St. Bernards/Bacon Too Much for Farmington

12/31/09-Norwich--Farmington got behind early and skated uphill the rest of the day failing to catch a spirited St. Bernards team loosing 5-3.  Trailing 1-0 early in the first period freshman Tadus Jalinskas blasted home the equalizer from the left side registering his first varsity goal with an assist from Eric Meier. St. Bernards Jerry Tyler would poke home his second goal of the game to take the lead back, 2-1.

Farmington junior Brian Cohan knocked in a rebound from the left side to get the game knotted again at 2 goals apiece. Moments later St. Bernards would retake the lead.  Cohan (11 shots) broke through the defense again and put a shot on goal that came off the goalies pads and senior captain Nick Palen scored with a nice move on the rebound, 3-3. That would be as close as the Indians would get as once again St. Bernards Tyler found the back of the net.

Sophomore Kyle Krajick made his first varsity start in goal and turned back 14 shots. Farmington faces one of the leagues most potent offenses Saturday afternoon when they take on Northwest Catholic in a conference match-up in Newington.
