1/13/10-Simsbury--Sophomore Dominic Bazzano and senior captain Andrew Lindquist (one goal, one assist each) lead Farmington over Wethersfield, 5-1.
Farmington had a power play opportunity late in the first period but was unable to capitalize. Farmington got an early second period goal from junior forward Eric Meier just 40 seconds into the frame. Connor Burns and Andrew Lindquist earned the assists. Indians leading scorer junior Brian Cohan tallied the game winner with assists from Bazzano and senior captain Nick Palen. Less than a minute later Bazzano scored with an assist from Palen to give Farmington a 3-0 lead.
Wethersfield finally found a way to get the puck past Indians goalie Kyle Chemente with freshman Tadas Jalinskas in the penalty box. Bruce Cutkomp scored the power play goal for the Eagles with Kevin Procacinni getting the assist. With Farmington leading 3-1 late in the third, the Indians found themselves down a man once again. Senior captain Andrew Lindquist out hustled the defense and scored a short-handed goal to give Farmington a 4-1 lead. CJ Spellman got the assist.
In the third senior Jack Noble scored with the assist going to hard hitting Allen Yi.
Farmington improves to 4-4-1 and takes on Lyman Hall Saturday morning at the XL Center in Hartford, puck drops at 11:30. Wethersfield falls to 2-6 and hosts St. Bernard/Bacon Monday at 2pm.
