1/16/10-Hartford--The Lyman Hall Trojans caught a "short" break in the second period to beat Farmington 3-1 at the XL Center in Hartford.
Lyman Hall's sophomore forward Andrew Zona beat Kyle Chemente roofed one short side to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead late in the first period. Adam McKay assisted on the goal.
In the second, Lyman Hall's Ryan Rainville was in the box for holding. That's when Lyman Hall's senior captain Chuck Catala took a shot from the right side that was easily put aside by Chemente. C.J. Spellman was skating through the crease to keep the Trojans away from the rebound and the puck went off his skate and into the net for the game-winner. Chemente had no chance and could only watch the puck trickle across the red line.
Spellman got Farmington on the board halfway through the third when his shot from the right circle went over the shoulder of RJ Negri to cut the lead to one goal. Dominic Bazzano and Allen Yi got the assists.
Lyman Hall's Catala added an empty net goal with 45 seconds left in the game to give the Trojans the 3-1 win.
