Farmington Shuts Out Newington-Berlin, 2-0

Farmington goalie Kyle Krajick earned the shutout win.
2/24/10-Simsbury--Farmington desperately needed a win to regain momentum heading into the conference championship and state tournament.  The Indians utilized the stellar goaltending of Sophomore Kyle Krajick and spirited play of the team's seven Senior members to beat Newington-Berlin 2-0.

Krajick turned back 24 shots in pitching the shutout and Junior center Eric Meier neted the game winner with a nifty unassisted wrap around goal in the second period. With mounting pressure from Newington in the third period Senior Connor Burns rocketed a slapshot from between the face-off circles beating the Newington goalie. Eric Meier was credited with the assist on the goal. Credit goes to the entire defense for outstanding play in front of Krajick.

Farmington will look to shake a few more cobwebs off their offensive output as they travel to Trinity College Saturday evening at 7pm to play Wethersfield in the final CCC-East conference game of the season.
