Tennis Camp Shapes Future Blue Knights

SOUTHINGTON--The Southington Parks and Recreation Department only has one session of instructional tennis lessons this summer remaining.  The program includes instruction for ages 4 years to Adult.  Each session meets Monday through Thursday for two weeks using Fridays as rain dates if necessary.  The location will be at the Southington High School tennis courts.  Session IV will run from August 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13 & 14.  The classes are as follows:  4-6 year old group from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM; the 7 - 9 year old group from 9:45 – 10:45 AM;  the 10 – 12 year old group from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM and the Adult group (13 yrs -Adult) will be held from 12:15 PM – 1:15 PM.  The fee is $50.00 per session.

Pre registration is required and class size is limited. A racquet will be provided for the 4-9 year olds as they use smaller, light weight racquets and the playing court is tailored to meet the size needs and athletic ability of young children.  The program is open to Southington residents only.  For further information and registration, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (860) 276-6219 between the hours of 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
